Pioneer Towers is located at 4467 Wallace Street in Port Alberni.  Our central location provides a short walk or commute to the library, museum, grocery stores, and drug stores.  Pioneer Towers has an Activity Room complete with a stage and kitchen facilities.  The Activity Room is available for tenant activities as well as business meetings.

Pioneer Towers is a 57-unit apartment building for seniors 55+ that officially opened in 1971.  Given its age, the building required some upgrades to extend the life of the building. A building renewal project was completed in 2025.  As part of that project, the windows and exterior cladding were replaced.  In addition, upgrades to the electrical and heating systems, renovations to the laundry and activity room, and interior painting were completed by the society.  No tenants were displaced while renovations took place.  We are grateful for the financial support of BC Housing which funded this project.

Pioneer Cottages is located at 4116 10th Avenue in Port Alberni.  Also centrally located this complex is steps away from our local recreation facility, library, and museum. Cottage units all have in-suite laundry, storage, and walk-in showers.  The Cottages are situated in a park-like setting and provide comfortable ground floor patios for your leisure activities.

As a Non-Profit Society and Registered Charitable Organization, Alberni Valley Senior Citizens Homes Society is governed by a Board of Directors.  Our board can have up to 15 directors, all of which must be society members in good standing.  To become a society member please complete our membership application.
